HTC One & Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie

There has been a lot of talk going around about Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. At the moment however Google is keeping quiet about it and they haven’t confirmed it or given a release date.

However this hasn’t stopped people from talking and sources have said that the HTC One X+ could be among the first Non-Nexus handsets to get Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie reports GadgetGestures.

Google are to hold the I/O this month for associates, developers, hosting events and the workshops for people associated with Chrome and Android. At all I/O events Google reveal a new product. Last year it was the turn of the Nexus 7 along with Jelly Bean 4.1.1. This year it has been said that it will be Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie that tops the bill.

For the time being the latest Android OS is being kept secret and there hasn’t been anything confirmed for the I/O. However there is a great deal of talk about the OS and the rumours are not stopping.

The HTC One X+ came out in October of last year and it has Jelly Bean 4.1.1, recently however it was said that it would get an update to Jelly Bean 4.2.2.

Google have said that the I/O event will be held 15th to 17th May, last year Jelly bean 4.1.1 was revealed in June. Therefore it is possible that a new Android version will be revealed around the same time.

Some people have said that the last update for the HTC One X+ would be Jelly Bean 4.2.2, however as the I/O is almost upon us, tech geeks are now saying that the HTC One X+ could well be one of the few devices to have Android 5.0 from the get-go. Do you think GadgetGestures and their sources are right with this one?
