HCL ME Y3 price tallies up to Rs. 11,999, integrates dual SIM slots and Android 4.0.4

The HCL ME Y3 price has been announced marking the arrival of one more 7-inch tablet into the market. The slate isn’t available through the company’s e-store currently, though it has landed in few of the online shopping outlets.

We notice that the HCL ME Y3 walks just a step ahead of the ME V1, bearing slightly advanced specifications. Both slabs flaunt a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, but the newly introduced device possesses a resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels as opposed to the 800 x 480 display of the latter.

The dual SIM tablet runs on the Ice Cream Sandwich OS and includes an ARM Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1GHz. The incorporated 1GB of DDR3 RAM shares credit with the CPU for delivering speed. At the same time, an internal storage space of 4GB has been proffered to encourage people to plunk content. Users can opt to expand the hoarding capacity using a 32GB microSD card.

The front panel almost camouflages a tiny lens sitting right next to the ME branding. This is a VGA webcam that complements Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity by allowing live face-to-face calling. This isn’t the only camera available for multimedia purposes. A 2MP snapper slithers onto the rear and enables taking snapshots and videos.

A 3,100mAh battery has been embedded for delivering power needed for the slab to function. Even though the capacity has been revealed, the tablet’s activity life in terms of usage and standby is still uncertain.

The HCL ME Y3 can be found at Snapdeal showing off a price tag of Rs. 11,999. If customers wish to purchase it through the e-retailer, they will be presented with an option of nabbing the device by paying 6 EMIs of Rs. 1,999 or 3 EMIs of Rs. 3,999. The slate has been put up for sale on eBay as well for Rs. 11,699.
