iBerry’s Auxus Nuclea N1 hits pre-order status

Remember the iBerry Auxus Nuclea N1 we reported about just a week ago? Well, here’s a reminder to those who were considering laying hands on the device – it’s currently up for pre-order. Now is a good time to pre-book the device for anyone who’s sold on it since there’s a special discount offer going on for the first 10 days.

The promotional price is Rs 15,990 and this is set to be raised by almost Rs 2,000 once the deal closes. Apart from the manufacturer’s official website, the smartphone can also be found on eBay.in at the same rate. If we take the low brand recall the company is faced with in India, we can see it being pushed into a tough fight with others like Micromax or Lava.

So let’s take some quick notes on the Nuclea N1’s specifications. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean runs the show here and the device gets its processing power from a quad core 1.5GHz chip. 1GB of RAM lends a helping hand, while the embedded 2800mAh Li-ion battery is apparently good for 12 hours of talk time (over 2G networks, we guess).

Although the onboard memory is a measly 4GB, there’s an expansion slot for adding in up to 64GB of additional room. Move over smartphones with 5MP front cameras, this dual SIM baby’s got an 8MP sensor above the 5-inch touchscreen and a 13MP main lens on the back. It also borrows a leaf from Samsung with its Look-Away recognition player.

Like we’ve already mentioned above, after the 10-day offer period is over, buyers will have to shell out Rs 18,000 for the handset.
