Swype, a keyboard app by
Nuance had finally come out of beta mode and is now available on the
Google Play Store. The app costs Rs 53.83 and you can download it from
this link here.
As this TechCrunch report points out – the beta mode, which was highly secretive, was actually released in March of 2010. And now, three years later, the app is finally out of beta mode and available for users.
Swype allows users to use swipe across the keyboard to type out words, instead of individually pressing each letter.
Some of Swype’s features include: SWYPE Living Language crowd-sources and updates your dictionary with the latest trending words. Basically all the words and phrases that are ‘in’ will be stored in your phone’s dictionary. It also has an additional dialect supplement for your preferred language.
Next Word Prediction according to the developers, trains your device to learn your unique vocabulary and predict your words based on previous usage.
Personal dictionary and sync back up creates a Swype dictionary based on which words you use. Users can also back-up and save the dictionary in case you ditch one device for another. Users will have to opt-in for this feature.
