A price of Rs. 6,999 has been revealed for the new Penta T-Pad WS708C
through the company’s official e-store. A result of the manufacturer’s
collaboration with BSNL, it happens to be one of the few slates
allotting space to a second SIM port.
Just like that of its predecessor, the WS707C, the 7-inch capacitive display of the T-Pad WS708C has been engineered to deliver visuals in 3D, on account of the integrated Mali 400 GPU. In the interior, an ARM Cortex A9 processor has been clocked at a speed of up to 1GHz.
Pleasingly, the slab will ship preloaded with version 4.1 of the Android Jelly Bean OS, which may not be the latest update, but can be considered a relatively fresher edition. As seen in a host of slates, this device too gives refuge to dual cameras. Apart from a VGA webcam snuggling next to the screen, a 2MP snapper has been positioned on the flip side for taking snapshots and capturing clips.
In addition to 512MB of RAM backing the processor in its operations, users will find 4GB of flash memory reserved for their storage needs. In an event when the inbuilt hoarding capacity proves to be scarce, the incorporated TF card port will facilitate an expansion of around 32GB.
The company has managed to include only a couple of connectivity features including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth. Also, the website has pinpointed that the tablet will ship with a 3,000mAh Li-polymer battery.
The Penta T-Pad WS708C has officially been released into the market. Those looking out for a bargain can only rely upon Infibeam, which currently is the sole e-retailer stocking the device at Rs. 6,689. The slab can also be spotted on eBay, although the retail value doesn’t differ much from the original one, considering the website has put it up on sale for Rs. 6,990.
