LG India is hiding something under its sleeve. Until now, it wasn't
clear that what the mobile giant has in stores. However, from the event
invite sent recently, it is clear that LG Optimus G is scheduled to
launch on February 27.
At the same time, the fabled handset has also appeared on Saholic at a price of Rs. 30,990. That makes it clear that LG will indeed launch much delayed handset in India finally. The Korean giant recently announced the successor to famed handset.
The LG Optimus Pro G boosts some of the most talked specifications that include: a 5.5-inch 1080p HD screen and other tempting features. However, there is no world from the company whether they are going to announce the Pro version along with Optimus G. It would be great to see two monsters shaking leg on the stage.
Stuffed with a giant 4.7-inch True HD IPS + display and with a resolution of 1280 X 768 pixels Optimus G is also equipped with 1.5Ghz Quad Core Qualcomm processor, 2GB of RAM , 32GB of internal storage, a 13-mega pixel rear camera with Autofocus and LED Flash supported, front facing camera (1.3-mega pixels), 3G, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 , A-GPS and 2,100mAh battery. The device comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Going by the specifications, it is clear that the device can be pit against the Samsung Galaxy S3 or Apple iPhone 5, for instance. Though, the company is planning a very strategic launch, just two days after Blackberry Z10 will enter the Indian market, that is February 25.
Specwise, BlackBerry Z10 comes with a 4.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4470 dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, micro SD card slot, HDMI port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G LTE and a removable 1,800 mAh battery.
With a larger and better display, improved quad core processor, better camera performance and high internal storage capacity, LG Optimus G might be a stiff competitor to BlackBerry Z10. The LG Optimus G is a flagship device for the Korean giant, at least in India. The hardware seems impressive due to the fact that the display is covered by Gorilla Glass 2. The reflective nature of the device is another addition. LG calls it "Crystal Reflection". With 13-mega pixel camera and Quad Core processor along with 2GB RAM, there is no chance of performance lag.
Though, the company is yet to communicate the launch price, it should sell under Rs. 30,000 by all means. As there are other prevailing rivals present in the market also. Samsung India has just slashed the price of Galaxy S3 by whooping Rs. 30,090. The 16GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 now costs around Rs. 28,900. It is also said that Nokia will too follow Samsung's way by announcing price cuts on high-end Lumia devices very soon.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is the most appreciated Android device so far in the market. It has the wimps and fancies of being a true iPhone killer. It has a powerful Quad Core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.8-inch HD display, NFC, 3G, W-Fi, an 8-mega pixel rear camera, Jelly Bean and 2,100mAh battery.
So, lets see what kind of turnaround will take place in the market when two heavyweights will reach the Indian shores - LG Optimus G and of course Blackberry Z10.
