Mysterious LG-F320 spotted in benchmarks, could be the Optimus G2






LG is expected to launch its Optimus G2 smartphone soon. The alleged pictures and specifications of this smartphone have been doing the rounds for a while now.

Now, GSMInsider has spotted a mysterious LG smartphone in AnTuTu benchmark results. The smartphones carries the model number LG-F320 and comes with an unspecified 2.3GHz processor. Bearing in mind the high clock speed, the website claims that this smartphone is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

Furthermore, the website believes that these benchmark results might be of the much talked about LG Optimus G2 smartphone. LG has already announced that it will be deploying Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 CPU in its next generation Optimus G smartphone.

In the AnTuTu benchmark results, the LG-F320 has scored 32,002 points. In contrast, the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A scored managed to score 31,491 and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra recorded 34,758. Both these smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

As the name suggests, LG Optimus G2 will be a successor to LG Optimus G. According to grapevine, this smartphone will be so thin that it will have physical keys on its back panel, instead of the side.

As per the past leaks, LG Optimus G2 smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch full-HD display. This smartphone is also likely to pack in an Adreno 330 GPU with 2GB of RAM. LG Optimus G2 will come with a 13-megapixel snapper and run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and will be layered with LG's own Optimus UI.

The Korean smartphone maker has already sent out invites for an August 7 event in New York City. It is expected that this smartphone will make its debut at this event and start retailing from the third quarter of 2013.
