Android, dual-SIM, quad-core Intex Aqua I-5 smartphone launched at Rs 11,690




Intex Technologies has unveiled its 5-inch, Android Intex Aqua I-5 smartphone for the Indian customers. Available in two colors- white and black, the smartphone has a price tag of Rs. 11,690.



Intex Aqua I-5 runs on Android 4.2 and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.



It has a 5.0-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen and a 12-megapixel rear auto-focus camera along with flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. Intex Aqua I-5 comes with a 2,000mAh battery which provides a talk time up to 5 hours and standby time of about 7 days.



The dual-SIM works on both GSM + GSM technologies. For connectivity it  3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi options. It comes with four sensors - Environment Light Sensor, Motion Sensor, Proximity Sensor and G sensor.

Intex said that it is planning to to launch 20 more smartphones in the coming quarter. It is currently offering 12 mid-segment smartphones under its Aqua range.



Intex Aqua I-5 ids yet another smarphone launched with quad-core processor. Last week iBallon Monday launched its quad-core, Android smartphone, the Andi 4.7G Cobalt for Rs. 19,995.



In Januaery Karbonn Mobiles launched the Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 - India’s first quad-core CPU smartphone. The device is powered by powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.


Micromax followed the suit by launching Canvas HD (A116) a phablet which will for sale in February. The phone comes with MediaTek’s quad-core processor. Wicked Leak and Lava have also heated up the quad-core smartphone race.
