LG Optimus G Pro to receive Value Pack upgrade, includes Smart Video feature

The LG Optimus G Pro is all set to be groomed with yet another feature, the Smart Video, which employs eye-recognition technology. The accretion will be part of the new Value Pack upgrade that the company has decided to endow buyers with.

The G Pro’s latest utility plays or pauses a video based on users’ line of vision. If viewers’ eyes are focused elsewhere, the front-facing 2.1MP lens detects this and immediately pauses the playback. Once consumers’ gazes return, the footage resumes from the last point automatically. No manual intervention would be required the entire time.

We were earlier exposed to the Dual Recording tool which allows customers to capture clips in full HD simultaneously from the 13MP rear snapper and the front shooter. Now, the maker has gone ahead and introduced another dimension to it, the Dual Camera function. This would deliver a picture-in-picture experience, permitting users to capture images from both ends.

Other enhancements that have snuck their way into this package include Magic Remote Pad and Text Keypad. These would add functionality to QRemote whilst being used as a controller for the maker’s Smart TV’S. Different hues for Smart LED Lighting can be selected as per users’ liking to be in accord with their chosen contacts and it enables them to easily identify the source of their notifications.

The inclusion of Color Emoticons would add more life and animation into text messages, bringing forth an element of personalization. The Video Pause/Resume attribute permits users to stop or resume while recording which facilitates the making of a continuous footage file.

The company promises that the LG Optimus G Pro Value Pack will be offered to users in South Korea next month. It also adds that the pack would be available for a few other premium smartphones in the future. Prospective buyers in the US are still waiting for the device’s launch which is slated for the second quarter.
